I was finally home when there was daylight! I can tell you about the window covering!20140223-172547.jpg

You have seen many, many examples of how I cover our windows here – some good, some bad – but by far, the best option out there is that pretend stained-glass stuff that they sell. (We are having trouble with old posts not showing photos, or I would show you examples.)

The curtain has been down in the downstairs guest bathroom for quite some time, and normally it isn’t a problem because no one ever showers in there. I do feel awkward peeing in there at night, though, because even though a car driving by can’t see my bottom, they know what I’m doing.

Nobody just backs up to a wall and sits down for fun.

So I bought a window cling. I was excited to see that Home Depot has some new styles, so I picked one with multi-colored leaves, because it makes me happy.

Trim trim trim.
Attach attach attach.
Smooth out bubbles. Smooth out bubbles. Smooth out bubbles.

Annnnnddd…. test!

D’oh! The clear parts are too clear! At night, people will still see a shadowy figure back up to a wall! And they will know.

They will know.

I’ve been in a bathroom with a skylight, and I know that pilots in planes overhead are looking at me.

I have a Halloween beard I could send you that you could wear whenever you need to use the bathroom.

I like your choice, even if it does let people have some idea what you’re doing.

When I was in college a put a poster over my bathroom window. So at night if the light was on, instead of seeing me, everyone saw a hunky guy taking his shirt off. It makes me smile even today.

It reminds me of the Garden of Eden.
