Happy Father’s Day! We love our dads!
Saturday was spent helping Deborah move to another house in town. Moving is not a fun process regardless of who you are, but if you have to move, get Deborah to figure out your system. This girl had it down.
I was one of the first to arrive at 8, but she already had helpers there and a trailer in the driveway. Boxes were ready and labeled with where to go. She directed traffic like a…. traffic person, and it was In. Cred. I. Ble.
There were SOOOOOO many people! Seriously, I think well over 20. Let me do some bad counting. Nolan, Me, Lloyd; Greg, Lyn; Gretchen; Mindy; Beth; Harold; Deborah’s mom, dad, sister, nephews; two college kids; Michelle; Kevin; Becky; Linda; Linda’s husband and son (blanking on the names); Rebecca; Bob… who’d I miss? It was amazing.
I was worried because a storm was in the forecast and I thought we’d be going well into the afternoon/evening. Nope. The house was unloaded by noon and almost everything was PUT AWAY WHERE IT WILL LIVE by 3! Beth and some other organizational wizards had the bedrooms and kitchen up and running, Lloyd got the internet, dryer and thermostat going, and I….. spent a long time putting towels away in the bathroom……
It was awesome. Enjoy your new home, Deborah!!
