On Saturday Lloyd’s school was having a garage sale. When Rachel and I met up with the boys, we took a look around. I bought a new cat carrier!!
It’s pretty snazzy. It’s a Martha Steward Pets carrier, so you know she made it herself. It has some pretty cool features: a pocket on the side, two zippered entrances: side and top, an interesting collapsible feature and most of all – LOTS of space. Look at it compared to the old one!
I kept playing with it on the way home. It’s bigger than my suitcase! As I zipped and unzipped it I felt pretty confident that if I had to travel with all three cats, they could cozy up together inside.
The height isn’t anything special – 11 inches. Just an inch bigger than the other one.
But the length? 24 inches end-to-end! 21 inches of inside space! That’s so00 much space!!
Er.
The pictures were all blurry, but as Ralph circled it, I realized he is a couple inches longer than the thing. And a couple of inches taller, too.
But cats collapse on themselves into tiny bundles, so I think he’s going to be just fine.
Yep. Just fine.
Especially compared to his previous quarters.

I’ve seen all kinds of carriers at work. The coolest looking one was an old one that looked kind of like luggage from the sixties. I felt sorry for the cat in it though. It was tiny.
The one you have there looks very comfortable. Martha Stewart did a good job making it.
Lloyd says
She crafted it out of broken dreams.

That last picture made me laugh out loud…which is a little embarrassing, because I’m in a Nebraska State Department of Ed meeting… Bahahaha!
Rachel Sommerer says
I too, laughed out loud. But it only made Sam wonder what was going on.
