The arm is feeling better. Thankfully today was a low day at work and other people were around to do any lifting, so I didn’t use my arm at all! I have an appointment for Wednesday, but I think I’m going to be fine.
Anyway, Saturday afternoon Lloyd and I went to Lincoln, but I wanted to stop by Pawnee Lake first. It is directly south of Branched Oak, so we have two camping options when the weather warms up! The lake was frozen and it was crazy windy, but I made Lloyd come look at it anyway. It looked like there were spots where it wasn’t frozen, but it was water on top of the ice that had melted. It was fascinating.
I had several errands to do in Lincoln, but I also wanted to stop by ReStore, a place that sells donated home stuff, kind of like Goodwill, but for toilets and lighting fixtures. Sam and Rachel had asked if we had one of these, and now I know – we do!
I was content to look at all the stuff – lights, sinks, tile, trim, hardware, odds and ends, but Lloyd found, of all things – a used book section. Honestly.

When I went to a restoration place like that, I was most excited to see the counter tops. They had lots of marble. I like marble.
Deborah says
Good thing you’re around to find all of these nice places for me!

Your composition of the photo of the lake is so good!. Get a used frame and hang a picture on the wall. Or make a fortune selling it a a local feature?
Beth says
Where is that place?
Lloyd says
It’s the other Branched Oak. Turn South instead of North.
Peggy says
I agree…that is an amazing picture of the lake!! I bet you can’t wait to camp there.
(And Nice! I wish we had one of those stores around here. Maybe we do. Let me take a quick check on the internet.)
Peggy says
By golly, we do have some close by.
Rachel says
Awesomeness all around! Awesome picture and future camp site; awesome that we have a “Restore;” and awesome that you found it! Three cheers for Lauren! Hip Hip Hooray! (You can add the other two.)
Lauren says
The ReStore store (?) is on 47th and Y. If you are driving south on 48th looking for Z so you can turn on Y, don’t bother. There is no Z. There is no Z.
