Keysmart

July 31, 2015 by Lloyd 6 Comments

Lauren got me an early birthday present. It came in the mail today. Here’s the before picture:

The during picture:

key1

And the after picture:

key3

I tried putting my keys in a number of different ways and in different combinations. Lauren had a USB drive that fit very well, but I ultimately took it out in favor of putting my new school keyfob at the end. I had two more keys that I’ve been carrying around for years, but only use once every 3 years or so. They are now in locations around the house that I won’t remember 3 years from now.

If you’d like one, you can get one here. I think Lauren would like one for her birthday.

How many keys did you put in there?

I have 5 keys in mine. I could put on 8 keys with the one set of extenders that I got, but the school keyfob takes up 2 spaces and the little loop takes up a space.

    I think he has…. five? nine? I don’t know.

The current placement of the school keyfob is growing on me. It sticks out, but is less jangly. Plus, what do I care? Not my pocket. Not my keys.

At first I thought you had to cut off the big end of each key to put them in there. That would have been a lot of work.

How does it feel in your pocket? Is it awkward to hold when you’re unlocking a door?

It’s a little nicer in my pocket, and it doesn’t jingle at all. I haven’t actually used it to open any doors yet.
