I have to tell you about our new microwave. We have had the old one since we moved into this house back in 1996. It has served us well, but a few years ago it started to trip the circuit breaker. It happened enough that I marked the switch on the circuit board with a sticker so it would be faster to find it.
Old model, surrounded by junk:
Over the past couple of months, it has been happening more frequently – nearly once a day. It also kills my computer, which is annoying. Anyway, the past few weeks I have sworn loudly when it dies, and apparently with enough venom in my voice that Lloyd offers each time to go down and flip the switch. It was time for a new one.
We looked at a couple of models, and since I just need it to heat water and five slices of bacon, it really didn’t matter to me. Lloyd made the final call, and picked out THE BIGGEST MICROWAVE THAT THEY MAKE.
Good grief.
If we plugged it in the regular way, it didn’t fit on the shelf.
With a flat-plug extension cord (a temporary fix), it does actually fit on the shelf without tipping out.
It’ll cook bacon. That’s all that matters,

Hehe… I would have bought a new one the second time it tripped the circuit breaker. Or maybe not. Is it more lazy to not want to buy a new microwave, or to not want to go down and flip the circuit breaker all the time? Whichever is the laziest, that’s the one I would do.
Congrats on your new microwave!

That thing is so big. It will trip the neighborhoods circuit breaker. Warn the hospital when you are going to use it. Also, you need one of those pacemaker warning stickers on your door.

That thing will cook a whole HOG!!!!
I bet you can do lots and lots of baked potatoes in that thing, too.
