Well, what do you know? I actually followed through on something and returned the art to the family. Marcia, drawer of the tree, has parents who still live in Seward. It turns out that they actually owned the cabinet with the art, and Marcia did all the pieces inside. (I thought I took photos of the other pieces, but I see that it was another missed opportunity.)
Anyway, it was nice visiting with Helen (Marcia’s mom). She is in an assisted living facility that has several other paintings hanging up. Marcia turned out to be quite the artist. It was nice connecting with Helen. She is going to see if Marcia still wants the tree picture. If not, I can have it!
By the way, her name is pronounced ‘Mar-see-ah’, not ‘Marsha’. Mom, how does Aunt Marcy pronounce it?
By the way, Happy Earth Day! Also, yesterday is the 60th anniversary of the day my Dad proposed to my Mom! Awwwww….. 🙂
