Sunday was very pleasant. We went to the late service at church, then picked up Annette and Mark to drive out to Kearney, Nebraska to the Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA). They are installing a Marxhausen exhibit there and it was a little humbling to see such an enormous space filled with art from this one man. They had other artists, too, so it was a good ‘culture-up-Lauren’ experience.
After we drove back, we went to SEMDEBAS (Sunday Evening Memorial Day Eve Bash At the Sommerers), where we had excellent food and excellent company. The incredibly hot day cooled off and ended with a breezy, moonlit evening. Very pleasant, indeed.
I have today off and have three – no, four projects looming ahead of me and I really only want to do one of them. We’ll see how it all goes.
I am thankful for those who gave their lives so that we can live in this country!
