It was an oddly weird day. I was wide awake at 2 a.m., which never happens, and had some trouble falling back to sleep after that. I put a load of laundry in the washer and set the timer so it would be done in the evening.
My truck wouldn’t start, so Lloyd gave me a ride to and from work.
The coffee pot stopped working.
A fan stopped working when I turned it on.
A kid threw up in my room in the afternoon. (I cleaned it all up and that was about a 30-minute undertaking.) Another kid got a fever.
I took down an art-drying rack in my room and it smashed my thumb when it came down.
After icing my thumb, the rack pinched my finger. I took a moment for the proper amount of sorrow.
Lloyd came to get me, and he had re-started the truck! We let it run in the driveway for an hour to re-charge the battery. This seems to be an on-going problem with the truck.
I went to move the wet laundry to the dryer and discovered I had not started the washer.
Once the laundry had dried, I took it upstairs and a motion-sensor light turned ‘off’ when I walked by. That’s not supposed to happen.
So, I’m hoping that all the weirdness is out of my system. I don’t think I can take a Halloween with as much weird stuff.

I hope your Halloween has only cute weirdness, and no finger-smashy weirdness or vomity weirdness.

Those days are terrible…even in Australia. I hope today is a better one. Wait, it’s Halloween, and kids are excited about begging for candy. Never mind.

I hear ya! It’s like when one thing happens all the gremlins gather round and have a meeting to plan the rest of your day? The other day my shower went cold, dried off with a damp towel, went to a doc appt, then drove almost 45 min, in the rain, to shop as a reward to myself and the store was closed… so i thought a flu shot would put the cherry on top! I did some “wineing” later that day.
