Aldi is simply the best store on the planet. I know that not everyone has one close to them, so I don’t want to sing their praises too much, lest you be overrun with jealousy. Aldi has a limited selection of food, which I love. You need flour? They have one kind. Same with sugar, ketchup, bacon, etc. None of this Competing Brands nonsense. If you are there for groceries, the thinking has been done for you. Don’t like this brand of baking soda? Take your business elsewhere.
But the best part of Aldi is The Stuff in the Middle. They have one aisle dedicated to non-food things, and it’s delightful! They change everything out weekly, so it’s fun to go in and browse. They do have a this week/next week circular (and you can check it online) so you can see what’s coming up.
My very favorite time of the year is summer, because they have a crazy selection of camping and outdoor gear. In a supermarket!! I saw that they were going to have pop-up gazebos for a reasonable price, and asked Lloyd and Brad to make a morning run to get one as soon as Aldi opened. They did, and were successful!
I had a miserable day on Wednesday, so when I got home, I needed to delay the Opening of the Package for a bit. When the boys when to go get dinner, I worked on trying to set up my easy-opening, 60-second gazebo. First, I did it inside-out. After fixing that, I wasn’t able to get the roof up. I sat in my collapsed gazebo, waiting for the boys.
When they arrived, we popped it up! It is glorious. I don’t know where I can put it, because everywhere in my yard, other people can see me. Dang it, I need a forest.

Oh, Lauren! That is awesome! You won’t have to battle the bugs, and you can still enjoy the great outdoors.

It’s so cool! I’d like to see it with a formally-set dining table inside. 🙂

I love Aldi! I have heard those aisles are called AOS. There is a Facebook group dedicated to Aldi (I think it is called Aldi nerds) that I follow. People are always showing off their AOS purchases.

I have to guess Assorted Other Stuff? I gotta find that Facebook page!

Aisle of Shame or Aisle of $#@! are two interpretations.
Lauren says
Ha! I love it!

You need a free standing hammock to put in it.
