Lloyd left for Missouri for a meeting on Sunday, so Brad got to help me have a happy day. We went to Lincoln to source ingredients for his homemade Carnation Instant Breakfast experiments (more to follow on that), which involved stopping at the offbeat grocery stores. Yay! After that, we stopped at a couple of other stores, including a thrift store where I got something cool (future post), and then we drove around to find a place to eat. While driving, we were right by the new house that’s being built with shipping containers!
We stopped! We peeked in! We walked all around it! We went up the stairs to see the second apartment! We peeked in the windows! Then… we had to walk down …… the stairs…. with no handrail…….. it was a little scary. I just faced the building the whole time.
Worth it. Totally, totally worth it.
Lauren's dad says
Lincoln must have interesting building and safety codes.
Lauren says
Hee hee! We shouldn’t have been poking around a construction site, but I just couldn’t resist!
Brad says
Oops! I didn’t comment on this. It was funny… I didn’t notice the missing handrail on the way up. Coming down was scary, especially if you have a fear of heights.
