Friday was not my best day for lots and lots of reasons, but the most sweat-inducing one is that my little vehicle (the toaster), died twice. Once while crossing Highway 15 east-bound, once while crossing west-bound. I was on my way to work and a Good Samaritan helped me get it off the road, then after turning it on and off again several times I was able to drive to work. Lloyd met me after work to follow me home, and wouldn’t you know it – it did it again. What that means for me is I’m done with it. I’m going to check with the car dealership in Lincoln to see if they want it, because this thing should not be on the road anymore. I’m very sad.
Saturday was spent with Morning Fire, some ‘gardening’, then helping Lloyd at Lincoln Lutheran and some errands.
Sunday we went to real-life church for the first time, and I sang super loud. That was pretty fun, even though masked. People are six feet from me, so they can’t get annoyed.
I also found out that my Mom had a bad reaction to her chemo and had to go to the emergency room. I am so grateful to my Dad and sister for being there to help her. She’s home now, but prayers for everyone would be welcome.
Week Two of the school year, here we go.
