A weekend of surprises

September 7, 2020

There were lots of things going on this weekend, and I think I have enough for the week’s posts, but I’ll start with the best one.

My sister lives in Colorado to be near my parents, and her husband lives in Michigan. (They got married in a whirlwind COVID ceremony that I think I posted about before.) Anyway, Kurt was going to drive from Michigan to Colorado for the week, and our house is about mid-way. We were looking forward to his arrival on Sunday night. He said he’d be in around 8:30 in the evening, and he was…… and guess who else was??

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! I was so, so surprised!!!! Keren was here, too! She flew to Minneapolis so he could swing by and pick her up, and they are making the drive together. It was the best surprise in the whole wide world!

We had a lovely evening and a lovely morning. It was SO good to see them, and far too short. If I would have know, I would have done much more cleaning and would have had a better stocked fridge.

I’ll be ready for the next surprise. 🙂
