The not-so-great surprise

Lloyd got a text from Beth on Monday morning. Apparently he was supposed to Zoom in to Beth’s class with some other middle school teachers to talk about teaching, but she said that instead of being in class, she needed to see if the wrenching pain in her stomach was due to her appendix.

Yikes! As it turns out, that was it. She went to urgent care in Lincoln and they sent her to the hospital. Later that evening, she had surgery.

She had a lot of people praying for her, which was great. I did the only thing I knew how to do: make a joke. 🙂

Feel better, Beth! When you’re up for it, we have a whole list of “funny” things to share with you later. 🙂

Hahaha! Beth texted me a picture of that banner! Hilarious!

And the pink letters look great with that brown wall. Nice choice!

Emergency laparoscopic appendectomies are where it’s at!
I highly recommend Bryan West in Lincoln. They were awesome.
I’m home, though I feel good enough to be teaching today. My colleagues would scold me for coming back so soon.
I can’t wait for the funnies!
