Unexpected topic

October 12, 2020

Sooooo….. we had a pretty intense storm on Sunday night. It was pretty windy all day and I was enjoying it quite a bit. I would have gone for a walk but it was too hot.

Around bedtime, the wind really picked up. I heard things crashing about but couldn’t see anything. I peered out during some lightning flashes and it looked like we maybe lost a branch.

Erm….. we did. Two good-sized ones in our neighbor’s yard, a few smallish ones in our yard from various trees, and a big ol’ one in the backyard. Good thing we have a chainsaw and Harold stores his trailer here.

We’ll be taking a heaped trailerload to the town’s burn pile this weekend, and my firewood supply for Council Fires will last a good long time!

That wind was intense! I’m thankful nothing hit your house.
