There was a surprising amount of stuff that got done this weekend, which is good. I need post fodder since I have parent-teacher conferences this week which will take away my evenings.
Let’s start with Saturday. Sam and Rachel would like to get some more trees for their home, so they asked us to go along to Oak Prairie Nursery which is fairly nearby. It was a glorious fall day – not hot, not cold, windy and a sunny sky. We got to ride around on golf carts looking at trees!
As always, I am in awe of how much people know. Everybody was talking about styles, colors, overall shapes, and to me they all just read as ‘trees’. It was still splendid, though.
We drove all over, Sam and Rachel with the owner and Lloyd and I in our own car. I was distracted by all the non-actual-tree stuff, like how they tie them up to support them, the different roads that went around the nursery, and of course, the best shed in the world.
I think its purpose is to hold one rake.
