A peaceful day

November 27, 2020

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Ours was pretty great. I didn’t get out of my pajamas all day. It was pretty relaxing…… except for the raccoon.

I am watching a friend’s cats while they’re out of town, so I got up early for council fire and went to check on the cats first. When I came back home, a pair of shiny eyes were in my yard. They belonged to a big, fat raccoon. I went inside to make coffee and then came outside with my fire supplies, and he was still there. I shooed him several times, but he just ran up my oak tree. Not all the way up, because I don’t think he could have managed it.

Anyway, the rest of the day was delightfully uneventful. Lots of t.v., I made some pies, lots of snacking and also actual meals. I also slept a lot, so I didn’t call anyone. Sorry about that.

Happy Friday!

Maybe if you put out your winter cat shelter this year the raccoon will live there! You would have a pet raccoon!
