Cleaning Christmas Eve

December 24, 2020

Merry Christmas, everyone! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Lloyd and I had a pretty low-key morning. I had a Council Fire in 10-degree weather (worth it), then piddled around with some cleaning projects. One, which will not translate well in photos, was to better organize the stairs to the basement. ‘Organize’ might be too strong a word.

Here’s a view going downstairs. There are random cleaning implements, and when I added the black coat, it was very crowded going down the steps.

Now let’s look at the mess behind the door to the upstairs. Decades ago, I made brick-and-board shelves and since then, we have been piling it up with fire-related things, seeds, and various poisons for insects, critters and weeds.

I took down most of the shelves, put up some hooks, threw out some unused cleaning implements, and…….

I know it’s not much, but walking downstairs feels so roomy now!

(I moved the bag holder after the picture.)

I think those are pretty significant differences! I haven’t been by the back door yet. I’ll have to check it out.
