Our local Wal*Mart appears to be going through some trouble. For the past several weeks, the aisles looked like they were having perpetual Black Friday. Now, though?
It’s pretty bad. Pallets are packed end-to-end and it looks pretty ratty. I think this is just the setup now?
Brad says
Is it all Valentine’s Day stuff? Will they just always fill the aisles with seasonal items from now on? Do you think they’ll do Presidents Day?
Lauren says
No, it’s all the regular stuff -- it’s like they are restocking during the day but no one is able to restock. It’s the entire big aisle that goes around the store.
Deborah says
I’ve noticed that, too. It’s weird.
Beth says
It looks terrible in there…
Maybe you could post about it on the Seward Community Chat and see how the community feels (hahahahaha!!)…
Kris says
Our Walmart has been the exact same way! I’ve wondered if they’re just that understaffed, but it’s crazy.
Kristi says
I have a friend who works at the Walmart. The box stores are now low on the totem pole. The priority goes to those who have placed online orders, and then your local store fills those orders to send out with FedEx. Then priority goes to those who place an online order and want curbside pickup. All of this means that your local Walmart is like a mini-Amazon warehouse for Walmart products. Our Walmart has looked like this for months already.
AND plenty of workers are forced out for two weeks for quarantine. They are short-staffed as well.
