So, I should make grand sweeping statements on the internet more often. Specifically, about not shutting down the center.
We’re off today! Yesterday, Monday, we closed at noon because there was already a BUNCH of snow and more was coming. It was good that we did, because – no lie – it is so much snow. Lloyd shoveled our driveway, sidewalk and the neighbors’ before he walked to meet me at school (I walked so my car wouldn’t get plowed in), and during the afternoon, we shoveled four more times. It’s about 9:00 here and it all needs to be shoveled again. We are not going to be open tomorrow because the in-town streets may not be plowed and the country roads are certainly not going to be plowed.
Here’s a view of my shed at 6:00 a.m., before I left for work. That snow is left over from Saturday.
Here’s the same view at 8:00 p.m.
It’s the view of the sidewalk that is striking. Remember, it’s Nebraska and it’s all blown about in drifts.
Aside from all the shoveling, there were some bright spots in the afternoon. On our walk home, Lloyd took lots of video for his video editing class. (Remember they are having a teach-from-home day on Tuesday.) I even got to be in some footage. If you live in Seward, you are familiar with the giant pyramid time capsule. It looks a bit different today. See the angel?
I may have had something to do with that……

Congratulations! I’m so happy that you get to stay home today!
I love the snow angel. What a great idea.
We shoveled 4 times yesterday and have a good amount to do this morning. Fortunately, the snow plow did not leave too much at the end of our driveway.
