Ok, so I said that I was stuck in Dallas overnight, and I also said that I watch a LOT of YouTube videos regarding capsule hotels and tiny spaces, but you honestly can’t understand how deep that rabbit hole goes. Once I realized that there was a chance to sleep in a tiny space in the airport, I knew I’d regret any other choice. As I’ll say in the video, I am incredibly glad I did it, and I don’t think I’d choose to do it again.
The room was small, just 7 1/2 feet by 8. (Smaller than the camping side of my shed.) The daybed was maybe six feet and a couple inches, so a tall person couldn’t really sleep, but could nap. The comfort level of the cushion was about that of padded restaurant booth, and not a deep one. The Minute Suites in the other concourse had a bathroom with a shower that could be rented for $20, but I didn’t choose that, I just used the airport restroom down the hall. They provide a blanket, but no pillowcases. The hamper for used ones was outside my room, so I assume they gave me clean ones.
It rents hourly, but the overnight option is a flat fee of $160, plus a bunch of fees. I rented it from 10 – 6, but the nice lady let me arrive a little early. As an adventure, it was totally worth it, but again – next time I’d just get a hotel room.
With that being said, here is my night at Minute Suites.

Fascinating! I did not know they had those in airports. I’m glad it had a window.
