Saturday was ‘clean up Seward, for cryin’ out loud’ day, or something like that related to Earth day, so Lloyd and I did some errands. We took a bunch of ancient bank records and such to the shredding truck, then some regular errands (shopping, post office, bank deposits). It was a productive day.
On Sunday, Beth and Harold’ son Tim was confirmed! We went to church and then a very delicious celebratory lunch after that. Then my family met for our Sunday zoom meeting… and then we worked on the shed.
Ugh. This project has become less and less fun. I have slowly been putting up the permanent dividing wall, and now it was time to finish it.
The wall is a ‘sandwich’ of 3/4″ plywood on the shed side, 1/4″ ‘plywood’ on the playhouse side, and that foil-sided foam insulation in between.
It’s attached to the rafters above and will eventually be attached to a 2×2 that will run the width of the shed along the floor, and stuff can be hung up on the wall. Now it’s mostly done!
Once the wall was finished, Lloyd helped with the cleaning out of the shed side. I am helpless when it comes to this kind of job – easily distracted and easily flustered, then I go inside and surf the internet for an hour. Not Lloyd. He dives right in and makes decisions like it’s not a big deal.
Once it was semi-cleaned out, then there were decisions to make. Do we change how the doors open? (One opens, one is stuck in place until it’s unstuck.) Do we put shelves on both sides? One side? No shelves? Do we keep all the current crap we have? (‘No’ is my vote.) Blah blah blah. I had to go get a chair and a refreshment for such heavy thinking.
At the end of the day, we had a plan but were too beat to implement everything. That’s for next weekend. ……maybe…..

Looks fantastic! Did the leak ever get fixed?
Lauren says
Yes! I forgot to mention that. Over Easter weekend, they came and replaced the entire metal roof! It’s got a good 3-inch over hang now. Woo-hoo!
Karla says
Hurray!!

How fun! I look forward to seeing it this summer. Will it have air conditioning by then?
