Let me begin by thanking you for the prayers for my family. Mom is home now, and Dad and Keren are working hard to make it safe and comfortable. Continued prayers would be wonderful!
So…… our taxes aren’t done. I woke up early on Saturday and had a little fire, then got out all the receipts and bills to sort and tally up. Lloyd woke up, took a look at the table and said, “But we need to return that stuff to Lincoln, right?” So we went to Lincoln to return the stuff from last week’s shed adventure that didn’t work. When we came home, of course we needed to do the shed work. I also bought a hose and sprinkler to water the tomatoes, so that took a little time. Then…….. Lloyd said he wanted to read in the shed for a while since it was supposed to rain and he wanted to hear it on a metal roof that wasn’t a barn from his childhood.
Um, he read until bedtime. (I also am reading. I’m on the 4th Dune book, Brad.)
Sunday, went much the same. We did odd jobs and completely avoided the taxes, with the exception of my finding a few more papers to add.
Lloyd assures me he will work on them tonight as I finish up conferences.
Hee hee.
Brad says
You didn’t get your taxes done, but you did do a lot of other stuff. I like to call it the positive power of procrastination. You’re so busy avoiding one kind of work, you do a bunch of others.
I’m on the fourth book too, but I’ve stalled out. It’s been a couple of weeks since my last time reading it… 🙁
