If you’ve read Brad’s post, you already know that we had to run into Lincoln so Ralph wouldn’t starve. (I made a poor calculation about how much cat food he had left, and he’s eating stuff that you can only buy at the vet.) Right next door was a very sweet little thrift store. We wandered around and lo & behold – a gadget!
It’s a tiny travel coffeepot! Now, this is not my first one. I used to own one that was larger, but it sat around in the basement for years and I believe I have given it to Goodwill. But this one? It’s so tiny!
Its construction is exceedingly clever. I had a hard time putting all the components back together in the store, so I appreciated the puzzle-like challenge.
So cute! I made a test run, and at their strongest ‘recipe’ setting it made some pretty weak coffee, but it will be worth messing around with.
…. and then I will give it to Goodwill.

From a thrift store to you and then back to Goodwilll…its the Circle of Life. (Did you read that with the Lion King song going through your head?)

I just bought a 6 cup coffee maker at Etc. It’s a little gadgety because it does not have a carafe. You push a button to fill your cup. I tried it out and the whole machine gets incredibly hot, so I’ll probably be returning it to Etc.
