Lloyd and I are home. We drove the 11 1/2 hours in one shot yesterday. (It usually takes a bit longer, but Lloyd broke some speeding laws for a while.) The temperature dipped down to 36 degrees on one side of Eisenhower Tunnel and was 46 on the other side. It was chilly, and reminded me that people should keep a sweatshirt in their vehicle, no matter the season.
I don’t know where to pick this site back up. I’d like to do some memories of the past several days, but that all seems rather private. I’ve got a separate document started so that I can remember specifics for myself, but this isn’t the place for that. I think that every so often I will jot down a little blurb here, and we’ll call that good. I didn’t take a lot of photos because…. well, I just didn’t.
Let me just end today’s post by saying that I love my family. They are a bunch of wonderful, amazing people who are so bright and full of talent it makes me want to puke, but we had many conversations about how nobody has it all together, and what a struggle that is to let people see that vulnerable side of yourself. So, I’m just going to say: today, let someone see that you are human, and be ok with it. You’re probably better at it than I am, but I thought I’d share that I’m going to try, too. 🙂
Have a good day, everyone.
