It was so nice visiting with my Dad in Colorado. We ate yummy food, told stories, went to church, and did a few things around the house. I regret not taking a photo of his neighbor’s house – they go ALL OUT with Christmas lights and have many visitors drive by to see the show. Of course it was different not having Mom around, but I’m sure her Christmas celebration was pretty dang great, seeing as she was with Jesus himself!
Our drive home was much less awful than I thought it would be. The mountains had a bunch of snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and more was forecast for Sunday (our driving day). It didn’t help me that there were also avalanche warnings posted. Grrrrreat.
However, I still had 75% of my last calm-down pill from when we went to visit Brad in Maui. Dang, those things come in handy. I took it in tiny installments throughout the morning and didn’t even scream once! Actually, the roads were much, much better than I thought they would be. There was a section of I-70 where all the cars were at a crawl, and another section that the overpass signs said would be closed, but it wasn’t – we just crawled. (I’ll take crawling.)
We entered into Nebraska where apparently it is springtime here. It was 50 degrees! Brad is here, and though I won’t see him much these next few days, it’s nice to have him here.
Happy Monday!

Yay! Welcome back.
Mom says
So glad you made it home safely.
Brad says
Yay! It was fun to see you for those 45 minutes last night (Sunday). I’m home late tonight (Monday), and it’s looking like another late night for me tomorrow (Tuesday). So maybe I’ll see you on… Wednesday?
