We had a lovely visit with my Dad and Keren. They got here around 5-ish with the U-Haul and there was much rejoicing!
They had already been in the cab of that truck for two days and it was not comfortable. No cruise control – so you basically push it across the country with your foot, and no foot room due to the structure of the dashboard area. My dad strained his back moving a giant branch in his yard a while back, so it wasn’t the best situation for trying to be comfortable.
We chatted, had a dinner of Runza (dad’s request… and his treat!), then visited until bedtime. (Harold happened to stop by and was a. great source of information regarding the fields and pivots they saw during their drive across Nebraska.) It was a lovely time!
In the morning, they were up bright and early for the final leg of the trip. They got to Minnesota in the afternoon and unloaded the truck into a storage unit. Today, Saturday, Dad will fly back to Colorado. Prayers for his safe travels would be wonderful!
Lloyd and I are headed to Missouri to celebrate his parents’ 55th anniversary, so we will be traveling ourselves. Y’all have a good weekend, ok?

I’m so glad you got to see them! I’m praying for safe travels for you all.

Runza is always on my list when I come there too. I like their cheeseburgers… mmm…
Have fun at the anniversary party!
