A couple of little boys were telling me about their weekend. Their dads had each taken them to Monster Jam – a monster truck rally in Lincoln. They were so excited that they were sure they had gone together and sat by each other (they hadn’t). Their bonding went so far that they each drew the other on the Mother’s Day card they made, so I hope those moms like their adoptive sons.
Anyway, I asked them to draw the experience in their journals. One of them hates to draw, but he was all about this. He drew an interesting truck-like object and then a humanoid figure with oddly doubled ears. I asked about them and he said, “We had to wear headphones because it was super-loud. But we didn’t have to wear them when the murdercycles came out. They were quieter.”
Murdercycles. I will always call them that from now on.
Lauren's dad says
“Mudercycles” -- especially the ultra-loud Harleys! Good one! Norbert laughed.
Brad says
Murdercycles! Ha!
I have been curious about those truck events for quite some time now. I was always a little worried about the noise though. Now I know I could wear headphones.
