I woke up on Saturday, had my little fire, then got a text around 7. It was my sister, traveling home by train from Colorado, and she said, “Good morning! I”ll be passing by Seward on the train in about half an hour on the way to Chicago. Thinking of you!” I said I’d try to find where that was and wave… then I realized I could just hoof it to Lincoln! We had a lovely, brief visit while they refueled the train. Yay! I love my sister! She didn’t even mind that I hadn’t showered. 🙂
Afterward, since I was already in Lincoln, I asked Lloyd if anyone in Seward might be able to give him a ride and we could do something. Thankfully, Harold was on his way anyway. Yay! My plan was to drive to a little town with a funny furniture store, but there was a change in plans. Beth send out an all-call to a bunch of us, asking for some assistance.
A friend of hers had moved to Omaha, but the trailer with her family’s stuff was delayed by over a week. They just needed some things to get by until it arrived. Since Lloyd and I were already in the town that had all the stuff, it was a no-brainer! We went to thrift stores for cookware and real stores for other things, and it was like playing a quest game. So fun! With the help of many of us, Beth was able to get all the stuff the family needed and delivered it that very afternoon.
All in all, a good day. 🙂

So fun to have a day of targeted shopping -- especially if it’s for a cause like that. It was a good day indeed 🙂
