Lloyd and I are headed to Colorado after work for an incredibly short visit with my Dad. We’re driving, so we’ll get there mid-day tomorrow. Lloyd wanted to do a little ‘work’ on the car before we left.
The Prius hates animals. Lloyd hit that deer, and when Brad was here, there was An Incident with a raccoon that involved the front driver’s side. It was just a little crack, but over time, the wind has been catching it and tearing the plastic. That’s right – plastic.
It was definitely a ‘stitch in time saves nine’ situation, and we should have worked on it back when Lloyd talked about it, but whatcha gonna do?
Bring on the zip ties.
He wanted to drill along the bottom edge, but the drill wouldn’t fit. I suggested driving the car to the edge of the yard so it would be above the gutter.

That worked a treat. Now this thing has sooooo many holes, and we can call ourselves Car Doctors (’cause of the stitches).

Genius.
You two are both MacGuyver in my book.
Better than him -- you didn’t need duct tape.
Ugh. I’m so sorry I caused you to do some work. It does look very fine indeed though. May your future driving be free of animal deaths and damage.
Please don’t apologize. On the way here we joked about how now every side of our car has something weird going on. 😀
