Weekend wrap-up

October 24, 2022 by Lauren 1 Comment

It was a pretty good weekend. Fire on Saturday morning, then I tried to make a different kind of bread. (I might post about it later – it was not a huge success.) Then we did a little bit of cleaning since Lloyd has a couple of St. Paul people staying over Tuesday night, then it was off to Lincoln for…. ugh…. clothes shopping.

I hate clothes shopping so much. I’m cheap and I don’t like trying things on. My preferred method of buying things is to go to the display of t-shirts that are folded on shelves, find the mediums and get some assorted colors. That used to work so well in my 30s! But then, no – the collars changed and the fit changed and it’s just weird. I found 4 shirts, but I didn’t try them on until I got home. Guess what? I am not thrilled with them. Oh well. Lloyd found two pair of pants because his are wearing through in the seat area.

Then we did a social divide-and-conquer. He had a staff get-together and there was a thing at Beth and Harold’s. I dropped him off so he could get a ride later and went to the Pesters.

Sunday, it was late church and then a lot of laying around. Ahh…. the only way…..

I don’t mind clothes shopping. I do think that trying stuff on is a hassle though.

Lloyd has clothes that are wearing out? I’m not sure I’ve had that happen before… stained or too small for my belly, yes. Worn out? I don’t think so.
