Friday was a bad day. My kids are having some behavior issues and I wound up staying late talking to some parents. I was grumpy. Thankfully, Curt was having his 50th birthday celebration that night, so I got to be around people I like and ended it on a happy note.
Saturday was fire, then some errands in Lincoln, then making a stab at cleaning. We have people coming for Dad Martens funeral, and even though we cleaned for company last week, the house has devolved.
Sunday we went to early church, then breakfast, then shopping and chores. We had a family Zoom in the afternoon, which was delightful. My dad mentioned that he had a cold, and we suggested he take a covid test that I left there…. and he has covid. Hopefully it will be a very mild case, so prayers that he recovers quickly and that my brother Mark, who is staying there, stays healthy would be very welcome.
Ok, folks. It’s Halloween. Even though the children have had FOUR DAYS of trick-or-treating opportunities already this week, this is the day. Pray for us all.

Trick-or-treating is almost a week-long event, it seems. The candy haul is ridiculously huge. Hopefully you get a treat of better-behaved children this week.

My eighth graders were crazy today (the 31st). I’m hoping they’ll be less crazy tomorrow. Maybe they’ll be tired from the Halloween party I heard they were going to…

Praying for your dad and Mark.
