Lloyd went down to Missouri to see his parents, and I’m so glad he did. I would have liked to have gone, but I would have delayed his departure by a fair amount.
Saturday Lloyd and his family spent the day in the hospital in Jefferson City. The doctors and nurses came and went, and the Sommerers whiled away the time visiting, playing cards and watching the family standby – Paint Your Wagon. (Lloyd brought up all the electronics so they could stream it to the t.v.)
Later in the day there was talk of moving Lloyd Sr. to the hospital in Columbia, where they are able to do more advanced surgeries. They had to wait until an ambulance was available for transport, so that ended up being around midnight. Midnight! Lloyd and his mom followed in the car, and after they thought everything was settled and they were going to drive home to sleep, more doctors came in to ask questions, so they ended up not getting home until 3:30.
The doctors seemed to think that things would happen quickly, but we all know how that doesn’t happen on a weekend. There were plenty more doctor/nurse visits, but it might not be until Tuesday that they are able to do a procedure. I won’t go into details, since it’s not my story, but please keep everyone in your prayers, still.
Back at home, I worked on some chores – cooking, a little cleaning and some defrosting of the freezer. It was quiet and I kept it cold. It’s good to have Lloyd home.
Have a good Monday!

I’m glad Lloyd’s dad is getting attention and treatment. Still praying for him.
You kept it cold -- I can only imagine what that means…. BRRR!
