I don’t have a post! I don’t have a post!! It’s time for bed and we don’t have anything. I won’t let Lloyd write about bad movie night, and a photo of me paying bills is too boring. Plus, that’s over. Here’s a picture of my hand typing this, the most terrible post yet to date. Sorry, guys, they can’t all be winners.

Just a singin’
Lloyd had his concert tonight, and I must say – it went beautifully. They sang in a new place, Southwood Lutheran, and it was gorgeous. Brad and Beth’s mom is in it, and the women sang beautifully!  I actually got misty-eyed a couple of times. It was a full crowd, too!  They practiced for weeks and weeks, and Lloyd missed dress rehearsal because of Fun Night. (They brought in couple of ringers for some of the solos – UNL students who are friends of the director.) All in all, it was a wonderful evening!
The blurry guy is Matt – Steph’s brother and one of the Bad Movie Night Boys.
Too bad you’re not supposed to make recordings without permission. (Note to self, remember to put secret ou-Yay ube-Tay link up tomorrow morning.)
Worst Movie Night
Last Tuesday was bad movie night. We’ve seen some bad movies in the past, but this month’s really takes the cake. We’ve become pretty good judges of bad movies over the last few years, and I think we can say with a fair degree of certainty that this movie really went above and beyond our expectations.
Poor acting, plot holes you could drive a dragon through, dialog written by middle schoolers (or, more likely, translated from Korean by middle schoolers). And I’m not talking about the geeky middle school boys who, as we all know, would most likely come up with a reasonable script. It’s like they gave the movie to the Middle School football team and had them write the dialog. Even the title was messed up. Depending on the trailer/poster you see the movie was either Dragon Wars or D-War.
But we went out to dinner after the movie and had another thanksgiving dinner that couldn’t be beat. So it all ended up okay in the end.

Lloyd’s Day(s) of Fun
I’m not a Nicolas Cage fan.
Tonight was the February Bad Movie Night. We had a new addition tonight. It was Curt Niermann’s first bad movie night (Jenny Niermann’s younger brother for those of you wno know Jenny). So there were 4 of us in total, and that’s a good number, because then we fit comfortably in a booth at our usual restaurant, which we didn’t go to.
The movie was pretty bad. The acting was reasonable, but the writing wasn’t. I don’t know if it was true to it’s comic book origin. I was never a Ghost Rider fan. My impression was that people who read it were pretty hard core. The fight scenes were boring, but the flaming chain was neat. Yes, a bad movie, however, during the final credits there’s a cool cover of the song (Ghost) Riders in the Sky by Spiderbait, which we also covered at Lauren’s last Ukulele Night. I couldn’t find the song anywhere; it’s not on the soundtrack. If anyone digs it up, let me know.
After the movie we went to Lone Star and everyone had a steak. Even Samith. Then we threw back a couple of shots of whisky and shot up the joint. We barely made it out before the cops arrived.
By the way, I’m not a Nicolas Cage fan. I think the only movie of his that I like is Raising Arizona.
