Coffee

October 16, 2006 by Lauren 4 Comments

Yesterday I bought a new one-cup coffeemaker.  My old one was a multi-step process, because the cup that came with it is small and ugly.  I’d brew a cup, then pour it into a bigger, more attractive one, spilling coffee everywhere.  The new one holds my mugs just right!  (Plus the filter is easier to clean.)

I Love Coffee, I Love Tea...

…..Now I feel bad for insulting the old coffee maker.

Poor, poor, Old Coffee Maker. I bet it silently weeps on the countertop at night.

So, how come this web page is lloydandlauren.com, rather than laurenandlloyd.com? Poor, poor Lauren. I bet she silently weeps at night!

No, no I hadn’t, but I have now! So, don’t let Lauren give you grief about your hair, thanks to your blood and sweat, there is no time for a barber, she has a website!

Messin’ with the Theme

October 16, 2006 by Lloyd 2 Comments

I had to go into the theme and muck up a few lines of php code. It was just moving stuff around and stealing some stuff from Brad’s site (his theme is put together better than ours). Here’s what I did: Copied the author name from Brad’s site and added it below the title (I […]

Stylesheet

October 16, 2006 by Lloyd Leave a Comment

I had to edit the stylesheet for the template we’re using. The first edit was easy. I wanted links to be underlined (you know, so you can tell that they are links).  But then all of the links were underlined including titles and menues and usernames and posts and some other stuff as well. A […]

Threaded Comments plugin

October 16, 2006 by Lloyd Leave a Comment

Brian’s Threaded Comments is a plugin that lets people either comment on a post or reply to someone’s comment (or reply to someone’s reply to a comment on a post…). I thought that would be useful after Lauren’s reply to Brad’s comment looked like a comment on the post instead of a reply (the fact […]

AJAX Comments plugin

October 16, 2006 by Lloyd 3 Comments

Ajax Comments 2.0 is just a neat little plugin that allows people to comment without reloading the whole page. AJAX is short for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, and is the a catch all for the cool websites that update information without reloading the page. I don’t know if this plugin will play well with some […]

Meta Category

October 16, 2006 by Lloyd Leave a Comment

Having worked on a few dozen websites, I know it is easy to forget what changes you have made to the underlying code after a while. In an effort to avoid that with this site, I’ll be documenting the changes to the site itself in this category. As I imagine this sort of information will […]
