This is perhaps not the best topic to post, but hey – welcome to my reality.
I have been distressed walking in our front entryway lately. When I first come home I think, “This smells like an old people’s house.” Don’t get me wrong, it’s not overbearing – just a lingering ‘bleh’ smell. It’s not the litter boxes, although I’m sure they’re not helping matters any. I’m pretty sure our old dishwasher is one of the culprits, plus I should probably rent a carpet cleaner and freshen up those old musty carpets. I don’t know. The house fan is running now and pulling fresh air into our stale dwelling. Maybe we’re just old, and this is the smell of our lives.

You should put a car-sized box of baking soda in your house. I bet that would freshen things. Plus, you could charge admission for people to come and see it.

Genius! But…size of a car or shape of a car?
Deanne says
Get rid of the carpets altogether and stick with wood & tile.

Leo says it’s too dnag cold in Nebraska to get rid of the carpets altogether.
Beth says
Let the Kirby sales people come in and clean your carpet for free and then try to sell you a $2200 vacuum. That’s what we did, and you should see our lovely office carpet now -- amazing! Not to mention he vacuumed the curtains, and ceiling, window sills, and our TV. He was a cleaning machine! (But, seriously, do they think someone who would let her carpet get that bad in the first place would really throw $2200 at a vacuum, regardless of how nice and gadgety it was. I did offer him a beverage for his time, which he graciously accepted.)
Lauren says
That is hilarious! When did that happen?
Beth says
Last week Thursday. Heh. Poor guy. He worked hard.
Peggy says
Is it possible that Lloyd has expired?
Christina says
You should check his birth certificate
