So, we made it safely to Missouri, no thanks to Mother Nature. The blizzard is over, but the drifts and ice remain. There were so many cars in the ditch or median, I was one big nerve bundle. *sigh*
Once here, we had a lovely dinner (ham – Lloyd’s favorite) and then opened presents. This was the first year Lloyd’s family has done a white elephant exchange, and I’d say it was a big success. Lloyd came away with a cool box of goodies that I will confiscate, and I got a wireless mouse for my laptop! They apparenly didn’t realized that white elephant gifts are supposed to be junk – we made out like bandits!
No photos, though. I’m using the desktop computer to post because mean ol’ Andrew and Aaron stole the wireless when they moved out. Oh, and we also met Courtney, Andrew’s girlfriend. She doesn’t seem scared of us at all!

I’m soooo relieved to hear you made it safely! And yay for presents & good food!
(btw: I think it’s so cool that you receive Alaskan King Crab legs…from someone actually in Alaska.)

On the flip side, since you didn’t crash into a snow bank, you didn’t get to test your will-a-burning-candle-keep-you-alive-in-a-car theory. Sorry about that.
