Lloyd and I spent the day in, which was nice. Originally there were plans to go see a movie, but several afternoon naps got in the way. I looked at it as a no-money-spent day, which is pretty good, but the down side is that we cannot agree on what to watch on t.v. He’s all into full-length Man Dramas (with gunfire and perhaps cowboys) and I want to watch anything else. We compromised and watched 10 minutes of Hannah Montana, figuring we should both have to suffer through something for a while. Several times during the day I shouted ‘Worst Date Ever!’, but he never gave me the remote.
I soothed myself by practicing my balancing skills. Someday I hope to be like this guy.
How was your Saturday?

I planned to get a lot done around the house yesterday. I don’t know what happened to those plans… I forgot?
I should make a list next time. Or just plan not to do those things.

I was a score keeper at a wrestling tournament. I scored matches for six hours straight. It was awesome.
Then I let the kids pick a movie from the Wal*Mart-red-box to rent (miraculously, they agreed on one). We ate popcorn for dinner and watched Shrek III. It was cute.

We did our normal shopping (Charles) and cleaning (me) in the morning. Then Charles took the girls skiing, and I stayed home and napped and did paperwork. Then we Skyped with Kristi.

We went ice-skating on a farm pond. The ice was 14-15″ thick. It was really crazy to listen to the ice crack as you skated over it. I am proud to say that I didn’t fall over or in.
We baked valentine cut-out cookies and chocolate chip cookies. We ate grilled pork chops for supper and rhubarb pie for dessert.
We got to Skype with Deborah and her lovely family. A great day!

Wow Lauren, you have alot of patience to get those things to balance. I bet you can build one mean house of cards!
Yesterday I cleaned, did laundry, food shopping & went out to dinner.

And it’s not even the spring equinox.

I’m a little late posting, but I spent Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We went running along the beach, then explored old San Juan, then more beach time. Then on Sunday we flew home the same way we got there, in an Air Force C-130. It was a great adventure!
