My go-to Sunday lunch is a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, with that super-thin-sliced ham that they sell in packages. Mmmmmm…… full of preservatives….
Anyway, if I’m making a sandwich (or two) for Lloyd I ask, “Squares or triangles?” These are sandwiches for dipping in tomato soup, which is the only way anyone should ever eat a grilled cheese.
Lloyd is pro-triangle, while I am open to other possibilities.
You?
Squares? Triangles?
Ham? No ham?
Soup? Wrong?

I think the way to go would be this:

I guess you both leave the crusts on? (just finished packing lunches and feeding the crusts to the chickens out back.)

My preference is two large triangles and no soup. My favorite accompaniment for a grilled cheese sandwich is another grilled cheese sandwich.
Lloyd says
The lower left part of the upper left sandwich looks a little blurry, like it was moving much faster than the other sandwiches.
Kristi says
This was lunch for us yesterday! Grilled ham AND cheese, cut into rectangles. We had tomato soup with oyster crackers, too.
Peggy says
I don’t eat grilled cheese, but I do like my sandwiches cut diagonally…they seem bigger that way.
I’m not a dipper…but if I was, I think I’d go for the squares.
I do like oyster crackers in my tomato soup & in my chili.

How about spirals?
Lloyd says
Hard to cut, and get soggy too soon.
Quiana says
Triangles. They taste better.
Jane Sommerer says
try a real tomato slice MMMM
