We have a guest bathroom, and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used that shower. When it was the original plumbing, I believe that number would be ‘0’, and after the bathroom re-do when we put in a fancy-schmancy showerhead, I believe the total would be up to 3.
“Why only three times?” I hear you ask. “Why not use it daily, when it is a rainhead shower – one that envelopes your body in a warm, gentle rain? Is not that the nirvana of every spa experience? To feel like you are in a magical meadow, showering in the rain?” (I’ve never actually been to a spa, but I imagine that’s how everyone talks – no one uses contractions and they all sound like Julie Andrews.)
Well, spafans, the trouble with a rainhead shower is that it’s like showering in the rain. Rain that only goes down.
Down, no matter how you angle it. There’s no ‘hurricane’ setting.
You’re either in it, or you’re not. You’re either getting your head wet, or you’re contorting to get certain parts of you wet. If you’re rinsing your hair, you are getting all the soap in your eyes. It is not fun. It’s as annoying as…. getting stuck in the rain.
Luckily, a cheap-o handset will fix all that trouble! Look at that beautifully angled water!
If you are curious about the banner picture, I am having trouble getting the water to completely divert. (It happened when the old showerhead was on, too, so I didn’t break it.) I’m going to have to call a plumber, huh?
