Here’s something I learned long ago: How to fold up a plastic bag into a tidy triangle. You already know that I’m a big reusable bag freak, but I will admit that plastic bags have their uses. We use them at school to send peed-on clothes home (because nobody wants to reuse a bag after that), and occasionally I take the kids somewhere and it’s good to have along a plastic bag and and extra change of clothes. (Usually for the kids, not me.)
Ok, without further ado:
Flatten out the bag neatly and fold in half lengthways.
Half again.
Now start at the bottom and do the flag fold almost all the way up.
When you get to the end….
there’s a weird little tail. I fold it in half and stuff it in the little flap that’s nearby. I don’t know if this is how an actual flag is folded – I’m no Boy Scout, y’know.
Ta Da! A nice flat triangle you can keep in your bag or glovebox, ready for any bag-related purpose.
You’re welcome. (Please not that this is not the acceptable method for keeping bags around your house. That method involves stuffing them in some other bag in a very random, un-triangly manner.)
