I think I’ve made it pretty clear how I feel about plants, right? I mean, I can appreciate a lovely garden, and I am grateful that plants exchange my disgusting carbon dioxide for life-giving oxygen, and I feel that humanity has destroyed far too much beautiful countryside to make sterile buildings, but: flip side – I really don’t care about the actual plants in my actual yard.
I am sorry, neighbors. I am sorry for the shameful overgrowth in some places and shameful undergrowth in others, but that is just the way of it around here.
However.
When the hedge by the driveway has grown taller than the Honda and I might accidentally run over a little kid while backing up? Then I will get out the ancient hedge trimmer and slash at the foliage until lo, the motor doth burn out.
It ain’t pretty, but it’s mildly safer.
