Josh is back from Alaska! He rang our bell Sunday afternoon and showed us some of his awesome pictures of his summer. He worked as an arborist – trimming branches, climbing trees, being a literal ‘tree hugger’! You can see him when he was on his way to his adventure here. It made me envious to hear about all the stuff he did – flying with his boss, camping, hiking, fishing. Not that I want to do those things, I just want to be young again and have that kind of adventursome spriit. He was handy to have here – he offered to trim some of the branches from our oak tree! It didn’t work out because the trunk was too big, and it scared me to death how far he got up without all his safety stuff on.  He got about 6 or 8 feet higher than this!
Welcome back to the lower 48, Josh. We’re glad you’re back in one piece.

First comment! First comment!
Now, this is tree-hugging! I wonder if he would come teach the girl scouts to do that…

Hey Josh … did you see any whales? How about some pictures.
And do you all know what Alaska was referred to as when 1st purchased?

“The Freezer”?

Oh, oh, I found out!
…but I’m not going to tell so that everyone can have their google fun. Interesting connections!
