It was a great night. Kate and John came over to see the cute little kiddos, Beth and Harold brought some adorable children by (though I have no idea who they were), and Annette stopped in to join the fun. Here are some highlights of the day.
These are some of the beautiful gourds/pumpkins from school:
Every year we carve at least one pumpkin and I leave the pieces around so the children can re-assemble it. This year I thought screws would make good handles. They did, and the children loved it, but they have no idea how really creepy this is.
We had apples for snack, so each half was made into an AppleLantern. Ha!
We had Darth Vader invade our home, and his kid brother, Scarecrow Vader. (You don’t know these guys.)
Done! Take us home!
Happy Halloween everyone!
Brad says
Heh. Scarecrow Vader.
I only had one knock, and I didn’t get there in time because I was upstairs at the time. I felt like a Halloween Scrooge since I didn’t get to give out candy. Does anybody like Nerds?
Karla says
What about sending them to Nebraska? I’m sure Brent and Beth would appreciate it. 😉 I like to think about sending my leftover candy to my oldest niece and nephew. Then I usually end up eating the leftovers myself.
Lloyd says
Lauren does.
Beth says
Heh. I thought you didn’t like to be called a nerd.
Lloyd says
Well, I prefer Geek, but I’m also realistic (Greek is also okay).
Annette says
They make the best husbands!
Deanne says
I’ll second that!
Beth says
Big, strapping, “strongest man Lauren knows” make good husbands, too. Even if he isn’t a nerd.
Peggy says
Great pictures! Looks like it was a great Halloween day & night for you!
And thanks for the awesome hangman site … I love seeing each new dimise … and the sound if you get a letter wrong … just great!
Lloyd's Mom says
oh, I loved all the gourds and pumpkins. Save me a few seeds if you haven’t pitched them already. I’ll end up with a field full of them and have to water them all summer.
