I had Parent-Teacher conferences tonight, which went quite well – thanks to the iMac! I made up a little movie for each kiddo that had about 20 – 30 pictures from the year so far. Who’s not going to love watching a movie of their child, right?
Anyway, I ran home briefly after school to throw some ham in the oven for Lloyd so he wouldn’t starve. When I came back home this evening, he was sitting on the couch and said, “I’ve had a headache ever since I got home.” I ‘poor baby’ed him a little, then went in the kitchen…. and discovered the possible reason for the pain. There used to be a fair amount of ham in this vessel. Can you get a Ham Headache like you get an Ice Cream Headache?
For the record, he says that he had the headache before he ate the ham. A likely story.
Brad says
I haven’t had any “food headaches” before, but I’ve had plenty of “food comas”. Maybe if you eat past the point of a coma you enter headache territory. This calls for some research. To the ham store! Mmmm… Ham…
Deanne says
Pepsi in ham?
Beth says
You mean when you bake a ham you DON’T pour a Pepsi over it first?
Deanne says
Uhhhm… no?
I usually get the honey-baked, that has a special sauce. You see, Maryland isn’t a big pork-producing state, so ham is expensive.
Kristi says
People, people, people. Pepsi goes over a beef roast. Ham gets covered with a mixture of brown sugar and mustard, topped with crushed pineapple.
Deanne says
Beef roast? Didn’t you ever hear of salt & pepper… maybe some garlic & onion?
Brad says
I like orange juice ham too.
Annette says
Are you sure it wasn’t a Henna Ham?
Peggy says
Your ham must have been really tasty … even the juice looks yummy! (and I feel for you Lloyd … I’ve had a headache since Friday that just won’t quit. I hope you have better luck.)
Lloyd says
I am certain that my headache is not ham related. Ham would not treat me unkindly.
Kristi says
The Norfolk newspaper had this headline on Saturday: “Ham-flavored pop.” To continue… Coming soon next to the Coke and Pepsi in a store near you: ham-flavored soda to make your holiday feast complete. Jones Soda Co., is selling holiday-themed limited-edition packs of flavored sodas. The Christmas pack will feature such flavors as Sugar Plum, Christmas Tree, Egg Nog and Christmas Ham.
Lauren says
They should make Ham Beer. Lloyd would have a serious drinking problem if they made that.
