As is my custom, I have left a large project until almost the bitter end. I collect photos from the year for each preschooler and put them on a DVD (using my blessed, blessed iMac) to send home on their last day. The actual assembling of the video goes lickety-split (less than a minute each), but the burning of each video to a disc takes between 20-30 of my precious minutes. I’m getting a few things done in these pockets of time, though – some laundry, some cooking, some bill-paying, and lots and lots of surfing.
Right now I’m on video 12 of 29, and it’s past 10:30, for cryin’ out loud! Up too late….. crabby……
They’ll get done.
They’ll get done.
Definitely not tonight, but they’ll get done.

In ev’ry job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap!
The job’s a game!
Oh, who am I kidding? “Every job that must be done” is a drag. I had to do laundry last night. I was all out of “necessaries”.
Brady G. says
Noah could probably sing that for you if you were interested.
Peggy says
I could find fun in every job to be done….if I had magic nanny powers!!! I would love that!!
Beth says
I love those disc cases. I need to get some of those.
So, do you use a different color disc every year?
Lauren says
I wish I were organized enough to use a different colored disc every year. They wind up being the color of whatever we have sitting around here, or -- in this year’s case -- whatever Lloyd can find on sale at Office Depot.
(The cases are from Dollar Tree -- eight for a buck. They’re a bit flimsy, but -- eh.)

NOTHING TO DO WITH POST
Sam was supposed to ask you guys this, but I haven’t noticed anything yet. Are y’all going to the Sommerer reunion? Want to shack up? If yes, is the Gospel Hostel ok?
BACK TO THE REGULAR POST CONVERSTAION
Lauren says
Shacking up is a can do. Unless Sam’s going to be there.
Kristi says
Nice shot of Cricket’s backside. Didn’t your circus post also include a photo of Cricket’s in that same pose? What’s going on here?
Lloyd says
That’s her square. It just keeps getting smaller.
