One of my favorite things about Lloyd is that every morning when we leave for school I grab my stuff and as we head out the door I say, “‘Bye, House” and Lloyd answers (in the voice of Mr. Narwhal), “Bye, Lauren.”
Sometimes he’ll add a little bit to the farewell: “Have a good day.” or “….Don’t forget to be nice to the children.” or “…. be sure to make enchiladas for dinner.” Sometimes my house can be really bossy.
Gretchen says
I just told one of our fellow guest-house lodgers “Have a good day!” and he responded, “Yeah, right.” Hope Lauren is less cynical.
Lloyd says
Do people say to you in the morning, “Hast du gut geschlaffen?” And, if so, how do you answer?
Gretchen says
If they do I just smile and nod. What is the correct response to such a question?
Lauren's mom says
I don’t speak German at all, but sometimes my husband says (and I don’t spell German, either), “Schlaf gut.” So, are you asking if I slept well? If so, the answer is “yes”. 🙂
Brad says
All I get is a blank stare from Max on my way out. Maybe from now on I’ll imagine him saying “meow” in Mr. Narwhal’s voice.
Kristi says
We tell Max, our labradoodle, goodbye. He just stares at us with his big, brown eyes.
Peggy says
Oooo, oooo….does the house ever do Gerard Butler Lloyd?
