So 'helpful'.

So ‘helpful’.

1) When Lloyd didn’t have school last Wednesday (snow day), he cleaned up the house. He vacuumed upstairs, straightened the downstairs, and put the bag of Iams cat food in the freezer. (It stays fresher that way. I think.) When he opened the freezer, there was another bag of different cat food. (Leftover from my feeding of the strays last winter. It’s how I can sleep at night. Have I mentioned I’m crazy?) Wanting to be helpful, he combined the two.

2) Wally has barfed twice in the past few days, and their poops have smelled horrific. I blamed the new food. I got the bag of cat food from the freezer to dump more Iams into the container that we keep in the kitchen, and discovered that it was all combined. I was annoyed, but couldn’t get mad because a. he was trying to be helpful and b. he didn’t know, but c. I got mad anyway.

The little ones are causing the trouble.

“I’ll sort it out during the Superbowl,” he promised.

Yes, the Christmas tree is still up.

And he did. (Well, we did.)

I’m guessing your fingers were a bit stinky after that.
Once I handled beef jerky (packing kids’ lunches) and then put moisturizer on my face. Big mistake not to wash my hands in between. All day I smelled like I was wearing Eau de Boeuf. I’ve never had dogs so attracted to me.

I’m “helpful” in the same way 4 year-olds are “helpful”.
