About a month ago when I was looking at some post-Christmas sale stuff, Bed Bath and Beyond had some leggings on sale (in the ‘Beyond’ section). I was curious what all the fuss was about, and the price was right, so I bought them.
Eh.
They’re fairly comfy, but only in an around-the house sort of way. I would never, ever wear them as pants somewhere else. I also don’t understand people who do. Do you remember this graphic from a couple of years ago? If not, let me show it to you (and break some copyright law, I’m sure).
It’s not only that they’re not pants, they also smell weird. My closet is mostly full of cotton stuff, and these are definitely made from man-made materials. They smell like a petroleum product. Bleh. I’ve washed them several times and it’s just weird.
I would also like to stop the leggings-as-pants movement for the little girl set. They definitely do not all wear shirts long enough to cover their bums, and I can clearly see the outlines of their Dora underwear.
