Thursday night Lloyd and I went back for our second-ever church directory photo. I was hungry and a little tired, but the young snippet of a girl who ran the camera was cheery in a not-overbearing way. My glasses are perpetually glare-filled, though, which seems appropriate since they’re attached to my glaring face.
Afterward we sat through a non-awful sales presentation. We bought a couple and paid through the nose, but blessedly it was over and done within twenty minutes.
Beth says
We had that same snippet of a cheery girl. With green hair.
Deborah says
We had a young fella who apparently knew how bad all but one of the pictures were. So he didn’t push at all for us to buy them.
Brad says
I love photo directories. It’s a great way to get know peoples’ names without having to talk to them.
Gretchen says
Agreed! And I also use them to find the names of people who I regularly talk to but have missed my window of opportunity to ask their names.
Brad says
Haha! Yes! That’s exactly it! I know they love Pomeranians, hate pecans, and are traveling to Seattle in April, but I don’t know their name!
Mom says
Good, all the good people in church can find out who you are if they do not know. Twice in how many years? Either everyone knows you or they all have very good memories.
